Artist
As a synesthete Jan is particularly tuned into colour and this is evident in her paintings. She uses mixed media and believes in experimentation. Her exhibitions show an adoption of media suitable for the piece of work in progress and therefore, it may be acrylic, watercolour, ink, clay or glass and often anything else that comes to hand. She avoids formulaic art by use of various media and feels that her work is unified by the very fact that she created it.
