Enjoy playing around with characters, plots and language in this inspiring workshop

This farm has now been totally rebuilt but, at this point it was in a very tumbledown condition. I have actually painted this view six or seven times. It intrigues me.

£1,000 raised for Ele.Aid
Jan was really pleased to announce that in 2014 she raised over £1,000 for Ele.Aid a charity that rescues and cares for Asian elephants. I raised funds by holding events, running raffles and raising awareness. It was not only worthwhile, but also great fun.
The Banbury Open
Jan was nominated for The Banbury Open. She was one of five artists who were short-listed. Her painting is entitled 'Outcrop' and is an homage to the Lake District and Mallam Cove both places where she spent a lot of time hill-walking.

Paintings to Cheer People Up
Three of Jan's paintings are now on display in the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. The three very large canvases are completely different in subject, but answer the brief of being 'bright and colourful to cheer patients up.'

Allotment
This year, theatre-Maker Adrian Brooks from Dorchester-on-Thames, collaborated with Jan on a very special project entitled 'Allotment.' With two of Adrian's theatres displayed on the wall as a backdrop, three actors read a series of specially commissioned short stories that accompanied them.
Funds were raised for the SANDS charity and the audience feedback was wonderful.
This special event will be repeated later in the year both in the the north and south of Oxfordshire.
